Basement & renovation wiring in North York: what to expect
Renovations in North York usually mean a panel that was sized for the house as built, not as renovated. We plan the electrical for the finished space — circuits, lighting, data and alarms — and book ESA inspections so drywall isn't held up.
Legal secondary units are a big part of renovation work in North York. A second unit needs its own considerations: interconnected smoke and CO alarms, separate lighting and receptacle circuits, often a sub-panel, and a load calculation to confirm the service can carry two households.
We work directly for homeowners or alongside your general contractor, with a clear rough-in window so other trades keep moving.

Offices along Yonge. Office and retail space around Yonge & Sheppard and North York Centre: tenant fit-outs, lighting controls and planned maintenance.
Teardowns and custom rebuilds. Willowdale and Armour Heights have seen many bungalows replaced with large custom homes. New builds of this size often need careful service sizing for heated floors, multiple HVAC zones, EV charging and extensive lighting.

Questions from North York
Do you wire legal basement apartments in North York?
Yes — sub-panels, separate circuits, interconnected smoke and CO alarms, lighting, and the ESA inspections.
When should the electrician come in?
After framing, before insulation (rough-in). ESA inspects, drywall goes up, then we return for devices and the final.
Can you work with my contractor?
Yes — most renovation work is coordinated with a GC or designer.
